Where are you missing God’s new work because you are focused on an old wound?

In Isaiah 43:18–19, God speaks to a wounded and displaced people: “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” Their pain and losses were real, but they did not have the authority to determine Israel’s future.

In this episode of Rediscovering Faith, we consider how past hurt, disappointment, betrayal, regret, and failure can narrow our vision. We may become so focused on what went wrong that we miss where God’s grace is already bringing new life.

Letting go of the past does not mean denying your pain or pretending it never mattered. It means refusing to make your home inside the wound. God can make a way through your wilderness, bring streams into dry places, and create a future you cannot yet see.
